Test method for temperature uniformity of thermostatic incubator

thermostatic incubator are equipment for bacterial culture, breeding, fermentation and other thermostatic tests, which have certain requirements for temperature uniformity, generally within 0.5 cubic metres of working volume.

According to the national industry standard YY0027-90 for uniformity test methods there are two.

I. Dynamic continuous measurement method - when the incubator reaches a constant temperature for the first time and after 2 hours of stability, record the temperature values of the upper, middle and lower three layers and the geometric centre of the inner liner, and record the temperature change curve of each test point against time within 15 consecutive minutes. Finally, the temperature change curve of each test point against time is then compared with the geometric centre point of the inner liner against the time change curve and each temperature change value within ±1°C is qualified.

Roving test method - when the incubator reaches a constant temperature for the first time and after 2 hours of stability, record the temperature values of the upper, middle and lower three layers and the geometric centre of the inner liner, record the temperature values of each test point once every 3 minutes for 15 minutes in a row, and record a total of 6 temperature values for each test point, rotate the thermopotential-free changeover switch. Each time the switch is rotated, the temperature is stabilised then to be recorded. Finally, the 6 temperature values are compared with the 6 temperature values measured at the geometric centre of the inner liner in time, if the temperature values are all within ±1°C, they are qualified.
